Steamer Mayflower DVD
New for the 2008 season is a DVD featuring the re-enactment of the dramatic events of November 12th 1912
Additional content is provided covering underwater footage of the Mayflower as she lies at the bottom of Lake Kamaniskeg.
Local Children ~ Art Exhibit
This lively collection of artwork from the local school children is exhibited amongst the other artifacts.
For a 'rainy day' activity why not visit with the family and ask for the new colouring and puzzle booklet?
When the sun returns, the kids will be sure to enjoy the Mayflower playground and beach just across from the Museum.
Horseshoe in a 155 year old red pine tree
This amazing artifact was uncovered after the Combermere tornado August 2, 2006. The tree was cut down behind St. Paul's Anglican Church next to the museum during the devastation cleanup.
NEW CD RELEASE ABOUT THE "MAYFLOWER"
Available for purchase at the museum or by mail from the Curator at the museum located at 1050 Mill St., Combermere, ON
A CD which contains a ballad about the tragic sinking of the sternwheeler steamer
The ballad was composed, played and sung and home recorded by Nels Boehme, the last living relative of William Boehme councillor and friend of Captain Hudson
The last trip was to bring a coffin containing his nephew, Herman John Braun (Brown) of Schutt, ON home for burial.
